About Precision Repair Solutions

Tanner Sawyer

Tanner was born and raised in Molalla, Oregon. He grew up in a service truck, riding along with his dad to jobs in a car seat. Spending summers, weekends and after school at the shop, Tanner learned how to mechanic from the ground up. His first jobs were cleaning the shop, performing oil changes, changing brakes and greasing trucks. When he was not working at the family business, he was seen on the back of a quad, performing free style shows at fairgrounds and events. Free weekends were spent at the dunes. Even when he was not at the shop, he was tearing his quad apart to repair or upgrade his bike. In reality, he has always been repairing something. As he expanded his abilities, he knowledge grew and he took on bigger jobs. He graduated high school early in 2012 and moved into a service truck full time at his dad's shop.

Tanner's drive to push himself to become a more well rounded mechanic landed him working at a local dealership. He started in the shop there but soon was moved to a service truck. He serviced customers from Northwest Oregon and Southwest Washington. During his time there, he went to multiple courses to became a certified Cummins and Paccar mechanic as well as an electrical diagnostic tech.

He returned to his family's' shop to continue to work with the family business for a few years before finally taking the big leap to start his own business. While being a heavy equipment mechanic was the start of the business, Tanner had goals to expand the business into welding, portable line boring and more. In 2025 he purchased his first line boring machine and has hit the ground running. Since then he has already added more tools and equipment to his business, expanding what he can do.

While he has a high drive to work hard, he also shifts that drive towards his family. He married his high school sweetheart Kayla in August 2017. In 2023 they had their first  son Ryder. Ryder has followed his dad's footsteps already and has been going to jobs with his dad. They are expecting a second son in 2026.
